today has been a great day fer me. (:


i often give ppl the impression dat imma kids lover. well, its NOT dat im not.. but i think it was ma higher level of defination for love, and thats where i start doubtin if i really do love kids. nope, not anymore, thanks to all that happened today. i've gotta thank God fer that.


moreover, many things around you have this element of relativity. so whats absolute? read da bible! hah.



okay, lemme share about ma joy today. i was the speaker fer children's worship today. yes, ma very first time. to me, i felt like there were much more preparation and mental-preparedness needed than being a chairperson. and i felt i wasnt really ready enough fer it. but well, there's always somethin called prayer. aunty kemmy encouraged me and told me that the othas will be prayin fer me. i then decide that i shld move a step forward, bcuz i shldnt let fear overcome me.



i shared about.. "forgiveness" today; starverse was from matthew 18:35. (:


have you ever thought of how you shld communicate to lil children of 2-7 years old, makin sure that they've understood what you had jus said to them? HAHA. i always do, thankfully.


1. cannot kia pai seh; cuz when you talk to kids, you gotta be more.. er, "drama".

2. bring your msg across by quotin an example that they can easily relate to.

3. remember that kids cant think like us; you've gotta think like them.

4. reward/praise them; kids love it.

5. be firm.

6. let them enjoy what they are learnin.



i felt great sense of satisfaction today. knowin that the 2 notorious brothas, were payin attention most of the times and whats betta, answered questions asked correctly. that sense of satisfaction overwhelmed me when they shouted the "yes!" afta gettin their small reward from me. BUT if you're thinkin that they were happy bcuz they had free sweets, then you're wrong.


the 2 brothas im talkin about are boys who can actually get all the toys they want, all the candies they want. but why were they so blithed when they received sweets from me?


bcuz, the fact that they actually got an answer correct was already a motivation fer them. it boosted their morale, and they know they have the ability to be like otha well-behaved kids too.



i didnt really like it when i have to call them "notorious boys", i've seen the good side of them before, and i really dont think that they are THAT bad. but in many ppl's eyes (includin their parents), they're deemed unteachable kids. they are only k1 & k2 this yr. but they say things like; "i wan a new mum for the new year." (in chinese) "ni qu si", "so stupid!" when they hardly can understand what those phrases really means.


and they always sing those lao shu ai da mi songs durin children worship, when othas are singin hymns. =.= it was really infuriatin la, thats where one's patience comes in. they love prancin up and down, tear papers, throw those bits around, shout at you, beat you, crawl underneath chairs, disturbin othas, etc etc. they could neva answer any questions becuz they've neva paid attention to da speaker.


some adults gave up on them bcuz of their acts. thats the emphasis ppl pay towards one's flaws. i only wished that parents could discipline themselves before wantin to discipline their kids, so that the child will neva say "i wan a new mum fer the new year".



dont wish to bore you guys out with this entry, so i shall stop here. but anw, its more fer maself la. heh.

finally cleared off our last presentation! though it wasnt a total breeze, but i think all of us already did our best, so no regrets.. (:

an entirely different experience from da last camp i did with sealsports..


nonetheless, like da previous camp, i learnt a great deal. chris told me i wasnt really as outstandin durin this camp. i agreed.


somehow, there was this thing dat was drawin me back. i felt exactly like sahf. cant really explain it.. but wadever it is, i will want maself to improve much more in da nex camp..


and towards dat particular person's comment dat affected me eminently; i will swallow it down and slowly digest it, even if your comment may have come across to me quite unjustly.


but still, i had a great time with ma fellow instructors! thanks guys.. more camps to come by! and anita.. hahahah. we're jus fated to meet. ^^
