// tormenting recuperation

the title says it all.


i was totally shocked when i looked into the mirror yesterday. from a heartshaped face to a square face. aint kiddin. but thank God its gettin a lil better now.


the hardest thing to do now is to brush ma teeth. YES, with the stupid stiches still in ma mouth. really dread the thought of havin to do so. i cant even wash ma face properly. ):


whiney mood. yet i still have so much work that i've gotta do. help!

ma wisdom tooth surgery is O-V-E-R!!! had two bottom ones extracted. like what i say, its more traumatizin for me because i know what the dentist is doin at the different point in time. maybe you shld consider to be a dental nurse only after you've extracted your wisdom tooth. haha.


HOKAY. so, time for the report!


ironically, the vertically-grown wisdom tooth was a tougher feat for dr lee, and for me as well. (usually horizontally-grown ones are more complicated because its growth is against the growth of our normal teeth.) so in such cases, the dentist will "slice" the gums and tk out the tooth bit by bit, by "sawing".


hahahahahhaha. yay i love to traumatize ppl now.


pls pardon the horribly drawn illustration, but heres abt the "horizontally-grown" wisdom tooth:

just look! the stupid thing is actually hittin your big molar. you have to remove it, or else plauge will start to accumulate in that unreacheable spot. AND unremoved plauge causes tooth decay and the sinkin of gum bed. and when that happens, you will prematurely lose your big molar tooth, which was made to last us for a lifetime!


oh anyway, i mentioned that the vertically-grown one was a HUGE terror for me. tho it looked normal, its root was actually v near ma nerve. can you imagine the amount of anesthetic i had was enough to make me feel NOTHING while he was happily slicin ma gums. but for this one, i could FEEL(scream!!!) smthg when he's tryin to dig out the v last piece!


but oh, in the end, dr lee decided to leave the tiny bit of tooth there. he felt it was a risk to continue diggin further to just remove the v last bit. i respected his professionalism because if he were to hit the nerve, my lower lip or jaw could be numb for life.


if im soundin v complicatin, nvm.


but bottom-line is, i was really freaked out by ma second extraction. i still could shout and laugh durin the first one (i shouted not because i was in pain, but the "sawing" sound was damn loud and irritatin! ya fair enough, ma other colleagues were laughin at me and dr lee called me drama mama), and the naive me thought the second one would be the same, or in fact, faster. cos it was common sense what.


after the op, dr lee took time to explain to me what actually happened and what he eventually discovered. and i was super thankful that he hadnt continue. hahaha. now thinkin back, for the first extraction.... i was shoutin "GOD, HELP ME!!!!" v loudly inside me. and viola, the op was done in 10 min.


and after a few hrs, i had ma second extraction. i really was longin for ailing to say "okay its out alr. dont move!" but no leh. so i kept singin the psalm 23 hymn in ma heart. and durin the later part of the op, i teared uncontrollably, becus it got quite unbearable for me. but thank God man, he gave dr lee knowledge and wisdom!


p/s: lol. the atmosphere for the two extractions were super drastic. i think dr lee and the rest of ma colleagues will remember it for LIFE.


p/p/s: but seriously, some smart person shout really invent a soundless "sawing" tool for dentists. then agn, it cant possibly be because the human tooth is so hard! *shrugs*


HEHE. 7 days of mc! (for so much of drama for the day..)

more often than not, arent humans the rootcause or the ones who complicate matters? they dont like it when things are bad, they love it when things get worst. saddists in life.
