// the world.

i know all things good come from God.

but why is it that some christians only wanna praise God when they get what they want? like..

oh man, i've have money fer LV! praise God!
woo, i've got a new 3G hp! praise God!
weeee, i've got more new clothes! praise God!
yay! all Zs and As. praise God!

i seriously am not sayin that you cant thank God fer all these. im also not sayin that you cant carry branded stuff, cant have the latest phone ard, cant spend money on clothes and have excellent results! no no no. thats not ma point.

if you've asked fer the above in God's name, seekin fer His will and wantin to glorify His name.. by all means! you know a prayer like,

"lord, let me bear a good testimony in front of ma friends, grant me the discipline to study all fer You."

is very much different from a prayer like,

"lord, i really want gd results, just give it all to me."

and hello? a wardrobe full of branded clothes, expensive shoes glorifyin God's name? nah.

i get so sad whenever i read about all these. man's selfish wants and desires, they expect God to grant such things to them freely. so then, tell me whats the diff between a christian, and a person who worships the God of fortune? by askin so much from God, does it help you excel spiritually?

Jesus dont belong to the world, so do christians. and theres no such thing as luck, unless you deny God and pre-destiny.

alrite. i know this entry would prolly arouse negative feelins. but come on, think it through logically, instead of givin excuses to disguise your superficial self.

give yourself the chance to change, and thank God that He has made you realised, that He is a God more than just worldly possessions. i clearly know im not perfect too, so lets strive to be more like christ.

once again, i'd like to stress on the point mentioned, im NOT sayin that we cant go fer greater comfort and wants in life. but you know, there definitely has to be a balance. a balance to everythin..

do you find yourself praisin God in adversities?
do you find yourself comin closer to Him when you're met with tough trials?

1john 2:16 - 17

For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
